“Great food & amazing cocktails”

★★★★   Reviewed 3 days ago

This is our second time to eat in Chiquito with friends. The restaurant is always busy but never make your feel rushed to eat or drink. The service is great and the prices are not too expensive considering the location. The food is delicious from starters through to desserts with complimentary popcorn severed while you decide on what you would like to order and also available at the bar if you are just going in for drinks. On both occasions we ate around 5 pm and didn't need to book but you may need to if you are eating later.

We would definitely go back again.

“Great atmosphere ”

This place is always busy and full of atmosphere. Food is excellent and not too expensive bearing in mind how central this restaurant is. Efficient staff means that even when it's packed, you're served quickly. Would highly recommend - but always book in advance.

“Second time worse than first!!!”

★★★   Reviewed 1 week ago

Came here as a treat, food was brilliant and that's why I have given 3 stars. Service was shocking!!!! Greater by a grumpy door host.. Walked us pass numerous empty tables to put us next to the toilet in the busiest part of the restaurant!! Not a problem but felt like we were being walked out the back door... Waited about 15 minutes to order.... Waitress was quite abrupt and uninterested.... Drinks came quickly as did the starters and mains. After mains were cleared we were asked about puddings... Then asked again. The food was brilliant however the service was the worst I have ever experienced and will not come back because of it!!!!! If you do not like looking after people and making sure their experience is an enjoyable one. I suggest you get another job!!! A smile would not go amiss, neither would basic customer service!! No tip was left as I tip for good service no to feel like an inconvenience. The Bristol Chiquito's is far superior and makes me happier than I live in the West Country where the restaurant see u as a customer not money!!!

“Great improvement on my first experience!”

★★★★   Reviewed 1 week ago

After my first experience, which I admit was in Northampton last August, I visited Chiquito Leicester Square with my 18year old daughter! Our waitress couldn't do enough for us, she was polite, helpful and friendly and was able to make recommendations! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, as did my daughter. The food came in good time and was hot! Extensive cocktail menu, we both had different ones and they were delicious! Such a better experience this time, so we'll done Leicester Square staff!!

I must admit it was a 10 minute wait to be seated but i could see why. There was candles on the tables and the staff kept coming around with complimentary popcorn of the salted kind. This popcorn is nice but makes you need more drink. The queue for the bar is quite long but the waiters will gladly take your drink orders and bring them to you. The service was quick and efficient. The staff made you feel welcome and come round every 5 minutes to check you like your meal. I had spicy chicken enchiladas and loved every gram of it. The wrap was soft and it had a lovely sauce with cheese on it was lovely. One more thing that i liked was the Mexican music in the background. I would personally recommend chiquitos to anyone craving the Mexican taste.
